Lawn care Services

Professional non-chemical weed control

What is non-chemical weed control? Non-chemical weed control refers to any method of preventing or eliminating weeds without the use of synthetic herbicides, including techniques like mulching, hand-pulling, cultivation, and smothering.

Our weed control service is a lawn maintenance add-on for homeowners who don't want to see any eyesores in their yard, but also don't want any harmful chemicals being sprayed on their property.

We will manually remove all of your weeds each visit. We can also apply landscape fabric or mulch to smother them out if you prefer a seasonal solution.

Weeds compete with your lawn for water, nutrients, and sunlight, which is why a targeted weed control program is essential to keeping your turf thick, healthy, and beautiful all season long.

Common Questions

Frequently asked weed control questions

How often should my lawn be mowed for optimal grass growth?

For optimal grass health and growth, most lawns should be mowed once a week during the active growing season, following the “one-third rule” which means never removing more than one-third of the grass blade at a time to avoid stressing the lawn.

No you do not need to be home. As long as we have access to any gated off parts of the lawn we can do everything we need without you being present.

Our lawn maintenance service includes routine lawn mowing, edging along concrete surfaces and garden beds, trimming along perimeter lines, blowing off concrete surfaces and bagging all grass clippings and debris.

As a general rule, most grass types should be cut to a height of 3 to 4 inches, as taller grass develops deeper roots, retains moisture better, and naturally crowds out weeds, cutting too short, a practice known as “scalping,” stresses the lawn and leaves it vulnerable to disease, pests, and drought.

Brown spots in your lawn can be caused by a number of things including drought stress, fungal disease, insect damage, pet urine, dull mower blades, or even compacted soil. We will access the problem and treat it for whatever it needs to get the affected areas healthy and green again.

We Bag All Grass Clippings and Clean Up Any Debris

Every time your lawn is mowed we use a grass clipping bagger that catches the clippings so we can discard them off site.
All excess clippings that make it onto any concrete surface from edging and trimming will be blown back into the grass for composting.
